The start of pregnancy can be determined in several ways. First, detect the newly formed placenta produced by hormones. Clinical urine and blood tests can detect pregnancy within 6-8 days after conception. Home urine test is usually 12-15 days after the effective detection. Both of these methods only detect pregnancy without knowing the date of conception. Pregnancy can also be determined by the interruption of menstruation. Menstrual interruption is earlier than any early pregnancy symptoms (such as detrimental). In fact, the doctor usually calculates the date of conception (ie, the "age" of the embryo) on the first day of the last menstrual period reported by the female. Unless there is only a small amount of sexual activity, there is no way of knowing the exact date of conception.
As the date of conception is difficult to determine, embryos and fetuses are only scientifically differentiated, will not be distinguished in the actual pregnancy. Pregnancy can be further divided into eggs in the fallopian tube fertilization encountered sperm and later implantation.
